WORK: Minister for Church of Christ for 48 years; Business Manager and Staff Writer for TRUTH Magazine (International religious journal), still on staff; Head Teller of Merchants National Bank, Aurora, IL for 9 years; R.V.P. of A.L. Williams (Buy term and invest the difference) for 7 years.
Continue to edit a weekly bulletin for Eastside Church of Christ, teach classes, preach some. Played Santa Claus for Apartment complex last year.
INTERESTS: Sudoku, jigsaw puzzles, photography, writing and teaching.
Significant Events: Foster parent 5 years; Asst. teacher for handicapped kids 2 years.
Significant World Events: Death of Kennedys and Martin Luther King,life is brief; Reagan elected showed we CAN make a difference!
CHANGES: Loss of son, dad, sister-in-law, mother-in-law plus 5 by-pass surgery in 2004, and development of polyneuropathy. I'm more caring, not as "cocky", realize material possessions not nearly as valuable as they seemed. I miss the fun and friends I had then, but appreciate the confident spirit we can and do make a difference.
REFLECTIONS: Enjoy life, but remember you are building ties and memories that will stay with you the rest of your life.
