Joan Claire (Augustin) Pereira
Married to Stanley Pereira (Stan) for 42 Years. He retired from Amoco Production Co. as head of geophysical research in 1989.
Children: Michael, employed; David, engineer Sun Microsystems, 37. All live in the Denver area.
WORK: I went to U of Nebraska for two years then Drake University for a year and a half and graduated from State. I helped start an Alpha Phi Chapter. After, taught fourth grade in Wheatridge, for three years and sixth grade in Houston, Texas, then started to raise our family with oil company, we around to Corpus Christi, Houston, Tulsa, OK and Denver several times. We did travel over seas for Stan's job and I have been involved with geophysical wives in the different cities.
INTERESTS: I decorative other crafts, and I had a gifts and crafts store outside of Houston (Kingwood, Texas) in 1973. Since retired, I have Assistance League of Denver. I mainly have been involved with their fund raisers and membership. Have also been chairperson of their events.
Significant Events: It would be my sons and now my two young grandsons, four and two.
Significant World Events: I guess 9-11 would be a life change for me. Do wish our grandchildren could live in such a wonderful area as we did. Lincoln was a great place to be in the 50's!
