Married for 43 years to Robert Joseph Kroos.
Children: Jennifer Kroos Haemmerle, 42, Hailey, ID; Sarah Kroos Holman, 39, Camas, WA.
Five Grandchildren.
WORK: Secondary Teacher; High School Administrator and Counselor; Adjunct Faculty for Boise State University and College of Idaho. Continue to worka gift shop part time.and committees for school, church and veterans' organizations. Retired in 1998. Bob retired as USAF pilot in 1979 and pilot for United Airlines in 2000.
INTERESTS: Dedicated walker; camping in Idaho mountains and wilderness areas; reading; bridge; writing!
Significant World Events: Civil Rights movement and Vietnam. My husband flew F-4s in Vietnam, and we both became very dedicated to environmental and conservation issues. In a state which is considered one of the most conservative in our country, we continue to hold a very liberal philosophy - which is hardly shared by most of our other retired Air Force friends.
MISSES: I miss the music of the 50's.
REFLECTIONS: My return connection to the girl friends of high school and university days was so deep after only 2 days in Seattle that I felt these women, now many 45 years older than when last I saw them, could still read my heart and soul. It was wonderful!
