Married to Ron Hile (LHS '55) for 48 years.
Children: Dan Hile, 47, Lincoln, Jim Hile, 46, Omaha, Todd Hile, 44, Lincoln;
Shari Lynn (Hile) McCright, 42, Lincoln; Twelve grandchildren.
WORK: First job: Registrar's Office University of Nebraska; Through the years: For many years I was a stay-at-home wife, mother, and homemaker. Later on, I worked several years for the Lincoln Public Schools and 21 years as executive secretary for Saint Elizabeth Regional Medical Center.
My husband I volunteer for various functions in our church, including being team leaders for serving meals on a bi-monthly basis at the Matt Talbott soup kitchen for the homeless and working poor. I have taught church school for elementary age boys and girls for many years and continue to do so today, and consider it a wonderful opportunity to spend time with young people. I do volunteer work at Saint Elizabeth Regional Medical Center on a regular basis. Ron and I retired at the same time-October of 1999.
We enjoy retirement life and just "being at home."
INTERESTS: We enjoy caring for, listening to, and sharing our lives with our four children and twelve grandchildren as they all live nearby. I also enjoy gardening, being outdoors, quilting, traveling, writing, and teaching church school, and I am a published poet.
