Married to Ray Rairdon in July, 2006 after a committed relationship for the past 16 years. (We decided to shorten our 20 year engagement!) Ray is a native of Bellingham, WA.
I have two sons, Stephen and Erik Sieg, both of Salt Lake City. They are 44 and 40 respectively. I have one step grandson, Alex who is 8 and Erik and Lisa now have a son, Luke, born on Halloween of 2005.
I have been married twice, (3rd time is a charm we hope!). I was married one week after U of N graduation in June of 1960 to Tom Sieg. We were divorced in 1978, and I married Jim Cleland in September of 1980 and moved to Seattle. We were divorced in 1992 and he has since died.
WORK: I taught kindergarten in Imperial Beach, California in the fall of 1961, which was my first real job!! Tom was in the Navy in Coronado, and Stephen was born in July of 1961. I continued until we moved back to Lincoln where Tom was an Associate Director of Development at Nebraska Wesleyan (1963). Erik was born in Lincoln, delivered by Dr. Richard Garlinghouse.was one of his last deliveries, and I was one 26 years earlier! I continued to substitute teach until we moved to Salt Lake City in 1966. I worked in the area of Historical Preservation and sold residential real estate from 1976 to 1980 until I moved to Seattle. For the past 15 years I have been selling yachts with my partner Ray. We have a brokerage, and specialize in boats 30 to 50 feet, or more as the case may be. We have no plans to retire at this point, and have 2 other employees at the moment. We enjoy trips to Hawaii, Cruising, local trips to the scenic areas in both western and eastern Washington!!
What do I miss about the Fifties????? Probably the prices!! Life did seem simpler then, probably because it was!!
My philosophy for life?? Work like you don't need the money.........Love like you've never been hurt........Dance like nobody's watching.........Sing like nobody's listening.........Live like it's Heaven on Earth!!
