After 50 years it's hard to remember all the important events but first there was college (journalism major). And then -- marriage (46-plus years), interesting jobs (teaching high school English and college journalism, radio-TV, advertising, school public information, free-lance writing, newspaper column author, legislative administrator), politics (Helena Citizens' Council, Montana House of Representatives, campaign staff), community and civic activities (regional sorority officer, church treasurer, literacy volunteer, hospital foundation board, YMCA board, bank board, airport board). Finally, I got tired of going to meetings and just wanted to be at home.
Home is a house we built several years ago on property that abuts Mt. Helena City Park, supposedly the largest city park west of the Mississippi. It means we have a lot of wildlife wandering through the yard; the blue birds are wonderful but the deer, not-so-great. We have become avid art collectors and attend shows and sales in the Midwest and West. And best of all - I have time to read and read and read! I have been blessed; my life has been great!
