Married to Melvin Kapeller (LHS Class of 1956) for 49 years
Children: Mike, age 46, Lincoln, Nebraska, Dan, age 44, Cheyenne, Wyoming, Doug, age 40, Shawnee Kansas. They and their wives each have 2 children. Six Grandchildren:Mike has 1 son and 1 daughter; Dan has 1 son and 1 daughter; Doug has 2 daughters. Our oldest grandson is in the US Navy.
WORK: First job after high school was with State Farm Insurance for 3 years and then I stayed home until our first son was born. After the boys were all in school I started working for the Lincoln Public School system and worked in various areas, ending at the administration office building as secretary to the Art and Foreign Language Departments.. Retired in 2003
MISSES: almost everything about the 50's. Being able to keep going after 8:00 PM! We miss our youth and the good times we had with friends, never thinking of death and parents dying and all the losses we have experienced in our lives.
