WORK: Receptionist/Secretary for Dr. Janet Palmer, psychiatrist, part-time while in college;
State Farm Insurance Regional Office collectionsclerk in Lincoln; Full-time Mother for 15 years including Scout Leader, PTA, and all the other usual thingswhich time we lived in Columbia, MO, Wichita, KS, Hutchinson, KS and Topeka, KS; Secretary for State Farm Agent for 6 years in Topeka; Owned and operated small Printing Company with Roger for 17 years in Lincoln, NE. Retired in 1997 when we sold the Printing Company and moved to Missouri. I've volunteered at the community library and thrift shop, worked part-time at a Branson Welcome Center, a Holiday Inn front desk, and as a hostess for an upscale restaurant. I'm not working now however, cuts into my playtime!
INTERESTS: Wethe, as many as 100 attime, in our yard and at our feeders. I enjoy boating and swimming. My passion is the 35 X 10 party boat Roger designed and built himself for me. My obsession is probably physical fitness. I'm determined to stay as healthy as I can. The only way I want to see the inside of a nursing home is as a visitor! My theory is if you don't use it, you lose it!
Significant Events: Roger's bout with cancer in 2000, including two surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation, was a very significant event for him, and me too. But he made it, no reoccurrence, so we feel very fortunate.
CHANGES: I have been incredibly lucky! We're all healthy and happy, no family tragedies. Our children are all married to beautiful, intelligent,people.live in a wonderful place just south of Branson, Missouri. Weboating year 'round on Tablerock Lake where our boat is docked, just 6 minutes from the house.'ve gone full circle -- started out with a love for swimming and the water, and here I am back to swimming,the boat.feel like I'm living back in the 50's with Branson's live music shows50's and 60's music, every show includes a Gospel segment andpatriotic themes. The two local radio stations play 50's, 60's and 70's music almost exclusively.And that's good because I don't think I've changed that much, I'm still the simple, slightly naive person I was years ago.
