According to her longtime friend, Marie McCullough Heilman, she died of lung cancer in Klamath, OR. Kay had two children, Scott and Jodi, and six grandchildren, who still live in Klamath, OR. She was divorced from Robert Wyrick before her death.
1991 Yearbook: Kay spent 20 years in the Air Force with her first husband, which took her to Guam, Okinawa, England and two tours in Texas. He retired in 1974 and they moved to Oregon. They were divorced in '78 and Kay married Robert Wyrick in 1981. Kay enjoyed traveling in their motor home after his retirement in 1997.
